Squatted 1,250 pounds today at the IPA Columbus Pro-Am to surpass Mike Miller's all-time record of 1,220 pounds. Alhazov also benched 630 pounds and deadlifted 925 pounds for a 2,805 pound total, the third highest in history.

SHW Brian Siders
Competing in Amherst, MA, during the New England Record Breakers, competing with a singlet, wrist and knee wraps, Brian Siders went 785, 605, and 840 for a 2,238 total. Incidentally, competing in the same show, SHW Donny Thompson totaled 2,170
During the 2007 IPF Worlds, drug tested, single ply, Brian went 959, (1,003, but red-lifted because of a balance issue just before racking), a 777 bench, and 865 deadlift. He totaled 2601, proving his overall superiority once again. |

275 Chuck Vogelpohl
squatted 1,100 pounds, benched 630, and pulled 835 for a 2,565 total, during the IPA Pro/Am meet in Franklin, Ohio. Chuck is a world class powerlifter, certainly unique. Chuck is dangerous in every weight class he competes. An absolute crowd favorite during the WPO Finals in Columbus, Ohio.
If my sources are correct, Chuck is currently weighing 280 pounds, squatting over 1,200, and deadlifting close to 900 pounds! If that doesn't get you pumped up for 2008, nothing will!

Shawn Frankl
Shawn Frankl, 198, benched 800 pounds at today's IPA Columbus Pro-Am to eclipse his former all-time record of 788 pounds. Frankl also squatted 940 pounds and deadlifted 730 pounds for a 2,470 pound total. The total also surpasses his all-time record by 1 pound. |

Dru Patrick
A former strongman competitor from Wisconsin, still in school, but planning to go to Ball State College, which is close to Westside Barbell. Dru wants to learn how to train in gear, and give powerlifting his full attention. In 2007 Dru won 5 raw bench meets in a row, highlighted by world titles in SPF and SLP federations and a national title in NASA.

198 Sam Byrd
squatted 1,050 pounds at the IPA Cincinnati Pro-Am in Zanesville, Ohio. Byrd breaks his former All-Time Record in the 198 class of 1,003 pounds with the effort.
On 08/15/07 Sam Byrd, competing at 220 set the All-Time Record squat of 1,063 pounds. His effort surpasses the 1,050 pound squat of Dondell Blue. Byrd also benched 611 pounds and deadlifted 733 pounds for a 2,408 pound total at the APF Georgia State Championships in Woodstock, Georgia. SHW's fear his squat! |
